Indonesia’s Law No. 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection (PDP Law) regulates data subjects’ rights, personal data processing, and the obligations of personal data controllers and processors.
According to the Indonesian Legal Documentation and Information Network (JDIH BPK), personal data protection is defined as “the overall efforts to protect Personal Data throughout the Personal Data processing cycle.” This provision highlights the importance of managing data throughout the entire processing lifecycle.
