CBQA Global underwent a surveillance assessment by the National Accreditation Committee (KAN) on 5-6 October 2026. This assessment was part of the periodic monitoring of CBQA Global’s accreditation as a Lembaga Pelaksana Audit Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (LATIK), or an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Audit Implementing Institution. It also reviewed compliance with accreditation requirements within the applicable scope and in accordance with relevant regulations.
CBQA Global previously obtained KAN accreditation as a LATIK. This accreditation covers ICT audits within the established scope. Therefore, this surveillance assessment was not an initial accreditation process. Instead, it formed part of the periodic monitoring of CBQA Global’s existing accreditation status.
This accreditation reflects CBQA Global’s commitment to supporting information technology governance. It also supports the implementation of Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) audits in Indonesia.
Understanding the Role of LATIK in SPBE Audits
Government digital transformation requires reliable and secure systems. These systems must also be managed in accordance with applicable regulations. In this context, an SPBE audit helps government agencies evaluate the digital applications and infrastructure that support public services.
LATIK stands for Lembaga Pelaksana Audit Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi, which refers to an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Audit Implementing Institution. These institutions conduct ICT audits within their accredited scope. In addition, Regulation of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) No. 1 of 2024 provides a reference for the scope and requirements of audits of special-purpose SPBE applications and SPBE infrastructure.
Through structured audits, government agencies can evaluate their systems and identify gaps or areas requiring improvement. The results can also support informed decisions regarding technology management.
Why Is a KAN Surveillance Assessment Important?
A surveillance assessment is part of the process for monitoring compliance with accreditation requirements. It helps determine whether an accredited institution continues to meet the applicable requirements within its accreditation scope.
For CBQA Global, the KAN surveillance assessment conducted on 5-6 October 2026 was part of this monitoring process. It also supported efforts to maintain consistency in audit service delivery in accordance with the applicable accreditation requirements.
However, a KAN surveillance assessment of CBQA Global as a LATIK is different from an SPBE audit conducted for a government agency. The surveillance assessment reviews the institution’s compliance with accreditation requirements. By contrast, an SPBE audit evaluates applications or infrastructure owned by a government agency. Therefore, the two activities have different objectives and assessment subjects.
How Does CBQA Global Support SPBE Audits?
As a KAN-accredited LATIK, CBQA Global supports government agencies with ICT audit services in accordance with its accreditation scope and applicable requirements.
SPBE audit services cover application audits and infrastructure audits. Through these evaluations, government agencies can better understand their systems and identify areas requiring attention. The findings can also provide recommendations for improvement.
The audit scope and approach depend on each agency’s needs, applicable regulations, and the relevant accreditation scope. As a result, audit findings can help agencies establish improvement priorities and strengthen digital governance.
